Romanzo Criminale -- La serie - is just a tv set italian-based on the eponymous book by estimate Giancarlo De Cataldo, also it's the adaptation. The series immediately achieved cult status in Italy.
This is the 2nd fiction series after Quo Vadis? Sky produced that and broadcast on Sky One, Fox Crime and about Sky Arts together with English subtitles.
The series is put in roughly 1977-89 and follows a group in Rome with a near monopoly of the heroin trade of the city. Most of the characters use the Romanesco dialect. The group is directed by three old friends, Freddo Libanese and also Dandi.
As well as its internal feuding, the group has to deal that both supply its rebellion, law enforcement headed by Commissioner Scialoja and the secret services. The plot line is based on the Banda della Magliana of this 1970s-90s.
