Robot Wars
Robot Wars has been a game series modelled on a US-based competition of the same name. This was broadcast on BBC 2 from 1998 using its final series broadcast on Channel 5 at 2003 and 2004. Additional string were filmed for specific sectors of the global market, for example two set of Robot Wars Extreme Warriors using U.S. competitions for its TNN network, also two of Deadly Robot Wars for distribution at the Netherlands. The United Kingdom Robot Wars' set has been brought as Robot Wars: Grand Champions at 2002 about TNN, also hosted by Joanie Laurer. The roboteers formed their associated event organisers, continue and The Fighting Robot Association on engaging in contests for new audiences.
The group involved teams of amateur and professional roboteers that left their robots to fight each other in the friendly and tournament matches. In addition to fighting one another, they had in order to avoid that the"House Robots", that weren't bound by the same weapon or weight limits as the contestants. Robot Wars has been commercially successful in its own merchandising, also had summit viewers of 4 million.
