Less Than Kind
Kind can be actually a television comedy-drama series that celebrities Jesse Camacho as Sheldon Blecher, a teenager growing up in a loving but dysfunctional Jewish family in Winnipeg. The cast of the show includes Nancy Sorel as his cousins, Clara and Wendel Meldrum as the parents of Sheldon, Benjamin Arthur as his older brother Josh, along with Maury Chaykin. The Blechers struggle to operate a school outside of their home in the fading End of Winnipeg. Greater than Kind proceeded in February 2010 to HBO Canada, and made its debut October 13, 2008, on Citytv.
Comedy Awards were won by the ensemble cast of the series in 2010 and 2009. Kind obtained the 2010 Gemini Award for Best Comedy Program or Series and the inaugural award for Best Comedy Series.
The name sequence and logo for significantly less than Kind were motivated by an iconic highway sign at the Confusion Corner junction of Winnipeg, constituting arrows.
The name of the series is found in the first line spoken by Hamlet:"A little more than kin, and less than kind."
