People You May Know follows Charles Kriel, a specialist advisor to the UK Parliament on disinformation, as he uncovers Cambridge Analytica's collaboration with a software company developing a microtargeting platform for US churches, aimed at radicalizing vulnerable people - the poor, the grieving, and the addicted - for far-right politics. With the US presidential elections approaching in2020, Kriel joins a team of whistleblowers and journalists and travels across America with his young family, where he uncovers a strong organization with ties to the White House's inner circle. The individual who commissioned CA is a member of the most powerful covert political organization in the United States, with the stated goal of rewriting the Constitution in accordance with Christian law. He risks everything by going undercover in order to gain access to locations where no outsider has ever set foot.
